COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM MEAT BOX SIGNUPS

The MCA Community Support Program’s (CSP) Meat Box signups have been extended, giving Akwesasró:non additional time to register for the program.

The application process is open to community members who reside in the northern portion of Akwesasne, within 25 kilometers of Kawehnò:ke (Cornwall Island) in Ontario, or within 25 kilometers of Tsi Snaíhne in Quebec, one application per household. 

Community members can sign up for the Meat Box Program from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at any of the upcoming Akwesasne Heating Assistance Program (AHAP) application dates and locations throughout the districts, or Monday–Friday at the Community Support Program office at the Kanonhkwa’tsheri:io Health Facility.

Meat Box Registration Deadline:
Friday, October 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

What’s included?
The program provides one meat box per household, along with a $200 grocery gift card to help with the rising cost of groceries.

After you sign up:
Once you have registered with the Community Support Program, you will receive a Meat Box coupon to use as proof of registration when picking up your Meat Box at the Seaway Valley Meat Cutting Institute (SWVMCI).

CSP will notify community members when their coupons are ready for pickup. Coupons will not all be available at the same time. Notifications will be made in sequential order as Meat Box pickups are scheduled.

Please keep in mind that only 80 meat boxes can be picked up each day, so coupons will be distributed as pickup spaces become available.
